The IDEAL IMPLANT

I am pleased to announce that I am now using the IDEAL IMPLANT™ for breast augmentation patients who seek an alternative to silicone implants. The IDEAL IMPLANT™ is a saline filled device that is unique in its feel. It feels similar to a silicone gel filled implant because it is different from all other saline implants. Other saline implants are silicone shells filled with saline. The IDEAL IMPLANT™ has two chambers with baffles in them. These baffles absorb waves in the saline, which gives the implant the feel of silicone. The IDEAL IMPLANT™ is a good choice for women who are concerned about the effects of silicone gel long-term. It has a smooth surface, which means that the condition known as BIA-ALCL is not a known risk. Because it is placed in the body and then filled, it requires a smaller incision than a silicone implant.

The IDEAL IMPLANT™ was developed by a plastic surgeon for plastic surgeons. It is only available to surgeons certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, such as me. I believe this is a major improvement in breast implant technology in the time that I have been practicing plastic surgery and performing breast augmentation.
