I’m Dr. Mark Solomon, and I’ve been practicing plastic surgery for over 30 years. I had the privilege of editing a textbook for surgeons on cosmetic surgery for men.

The book features a chapter on penis enlargement surgery using techniques that were new at the time of writing. I had the opportunity to spend time with the author of that chapter and learn these methods from him.

Penis enlargement surgery was one of the many procedures that I performed in my role as a practicing surgeon at two medical schools and subsequently in private practice.

Over those years, I was asked to treat men who had undergone failed surgeries by other surgeons.

These men had undergone treatment with implants, fillers, fat injections, and other treatments in an effort to obtain a larger penis. They had various problems, including loss of length, curvatures, and numbness.

Over the years, I have successfully treated hundreds of men. While some urologists specialize in reconstructive urology, they do not have the knowledge of plastic surgery needed to correct these men’s issues.

I do work with urologists when treating men with erectile dysfunction or urination problems. Most of my patients do not have these issues. They often have fillers or scar tissues that interfere with length or function.

Few surgeons have experience treating these complications. I have significant experience in this area, which makes me unique.

Much of what I do for men is derived from my knowledge and experience in penis enlargement surgery.

Many skills are similar in treating normal men seeking penis enlargement and those who have had problems from other treatments.

I use this skill to help men who are often at their wit’s end because they have been unable to find anyone to help.

Let me give you a few examples of men that I have helped. Due to the sensitive nature of these procedures, I won’t use names. But I can describe their age and situation.

One man, 51 years old, came to me from Missouri, having had a subcutaneous silicone implant. This implant is marketed to increase penis size, and, in some men, it does work.

This man had an increased size but had lost sensation in the glans (head of the penis). I was able to remove the implant along with the scar tissue that had distorted his shape.

In addition, the same scar tissue had caused compression of the nerve to the head of the penis. Using techniques that I learned in plastic surgery for the treatment of nerve compression, I was able to decompress the nerve and restore blood flow to it.

This fix, in turn, restored sensation over several months. The patient recently called me to thank me for the change this had made in his life and confidence level.

Another patient who had undergone placement of one of these implants came to see me after the device had been removed. He was 34 when he saw me. His implant had become infected, which was why it was removed.

But the infection also caused loss of length and a curve to his left side so that his erections were crooked and his penis was not functional for sex.I was able to remove the scar tissue and correct the curve. The patient was once again able to have sex.

I have also successfully treated men who have had fat injections and silicone injections many years after the injections were performed.

In fact, most of these men have no issues for many years after the placement of fat, silicone, or PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate). Over time, they get stretching of their penis skin along with nodules of scars that distort the penis.

Each of these men can be helped with the methods I have evolved over the many years I have been seeing these men.

Only one or two other surgeons in the U.S. perform these procedures.
